Immediate Opening for an Accountant
Prepare, examine & analyze accounting records to assess accuracy & completeness.
Job duties are included, but not limited to the following:
- Prepare various accounting papers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries.
- Establishment and implementation of accounting policies and procedures;
- Oversight of the recording, processing, consolidation, and distribution of a wide variety of financial data, statements, summaries, and reports.
- Manage all accounting functions including, but not limited to: weekly cash reconciliation, preparation of bank reports and cash transfers; determine cash flow needs and prioritize bill payments.
- Maintain fixed asset depreciation schedules and long-term liabilities schedules.
- Process bi-weekly payroll; prepare and remit monthly payroll deductions.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of quarterly financial statements and related reports including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate annual independent audit. Prepare all supporting work papers and reports;
- Coordinate preparation of annual tax documents.
- Ensure compliance with statutory tax reports and prepare reports including business licenses, workers compensation and 1099s.
- Assist with strategic planning and special projects as requested by the President.
A B.S. in accounting is required. Wage is $50,710.00 per year, 40 hours per week.
